​Trustee & Secretary

​S. Visvanathan is a Railway workers’ trade union leader and retired as Deputy Chief Electrical Engineer. He is an ardent devotee of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. One of the Founder Trustees of Sankara Eye Hospital, he is also the founder of a number of Institutions. Currently he is the President of Sri Sankara Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Pammal and Trustee, Secretary of Sankara Health Education and Charitable Trust managing a 30 bed general hospital, Managing Trustee of Shri Sankara Kripa Educational & Medical Trust, Kanchipuram, which manages a 100 bed Multispecialty hospital in Kanchipuram, President of Sri Sathsangam in Pammal, Managing Trustee of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Diamond Jubilee Educational & Health Trust which runs an Aged Care Centre and a Trustee of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Chennapuri Bhaktha Jana Samajam. He is actively involved with numerous institutions in the cultural, educational and health care sectors.
