Comprehensive Ophthalmology Fellowship
This fellowship is aimed at the young ophthalmologist who wishes to comprehensively enhance their work experience and become proficient in both medical and surgical areas of ophthalmology. In this period they will be guided in SICS and later Phaco in a phased manner. They will also be exposed to other sub specialties in ophthalmology like Cataract and refractive surgery, Cornea, Glaucoma, Paediatric ophthalmology, Orbit and Oculoplasty and Medical and surgical Retina.
The candidate will be paid a stipend. Accommodation will have to be arranged by the candidate, the hospital will assist in this.
Duration: 18 months.

Medical and Surgical Retina Fellowship
The Hospital offers Medical ad Surgical Retina Fellowship. The first 12 months will provide an extensive exposure to Medical Retina as a basis to handle clinical retina patients. Clinical training focuses on Retinal diseases such as Age Related Macular Degeneration (ARMD), Diabetic Retinopathy, various types of Uveitis and diagnosis and therapeutic approaches to Genetic Retinopathies and Maculopathies. The candidates will be exposed in handling Fundus Photographs, Fluorescein Angiograms and Optical Coherence Tomographs which will be useful in clinical diagnosis and as outcome variables in clinical research will be emphasized in the program. The candidates will also be trained in photocoagulation procedures. At the end of 12 months, the focus will shift to Surgical Retina and in the next 12 months, the Fellow will gain a good insight and experience with VR procedures.
