Refraction Clinic
Refraction is an eye test performed during a comprehensive eye exam that measures a patient’s prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses. At Sankara, comprehensive eye examination involves the following steps:
- Objective visual acuity using an Autorefractor
- Non-invasive measurement of Intraocular Pressure using a Non-contact Tonometer
- Retinoscopy, whenever considered necessary
- Subjective refraction using Trial frames and lenses to get the best corrected visual acuity
- Dilated/undilated slit lamp examination to identify any eye related issues other than refractive errors
At the end of slit lamp examination, those needing corrective glasses will be given the prescription for the same
