REC Limited has donated Rs.11.56 crore under its CSR initiative for the procurement of medical and non-medical equipment for establishing Sankara Eye Hospital, Saharsa, Bihar, aiming to enhance healthcare service delivery in the region.

A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed on 09 March 2026 between Shri Pradeep Fellows, ED (CSR) REC Limited and Wg Cdr V Shankar (Retd), Trustee & ED, Sankara Eye Hospital at REC Ltd, SCOPE Complex, New Delhi. This collaboration reaffirms REC’s commitment to improving public health facilities across India, especially in underserved regions.
