Project Orange – Vision Centres with support of Rotary International District 3232

Rotary International District 3232 along with a number of participating Clubs have come forward to support the setting up of 40 Hybrid Vision Centres in Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur, Chengalpattu and neighboring Districts around Chennai. These Centres are being setup with the objective of providing easy access to comprehensive eye care to the needy population in these areas.Each HVC will be full equipped with all Ophthalmic screening equipment to examine both anterior and posterior segments of the eye. The centres will also have tele-ophthalmic connectivity for enabling remote consultation with Ophthalmologists in the base hospital at Pammal. The HVCs will be opened in phases with the first set of five HVCs being inaugurated by end March 2021.
